OUR FOCUS

Our Coverage.

CCRHS has successfully executed multi - media communication campaign in rural and urban communities of Bida Emirate Council of Niger State, Nigeria. Our activities are currently state - wide concentrating on youth development and adolescent sexuality. Our programs also cove stake holders' participation. Over the years, community and religious leaders, village and district heads, and government officials have been involved in project implementation/activities of CCRHS. This ensures that such project efforts that focus on community priority needs are not frustrated but enhanced through proper legitimization and mobilization.

Our Staff.

CCRHS work force stands at 25. Professional staff accounts for 30% while others provide support services. Areas of competences of our committed staff include IEC packaging and development communication training, project design, monitoring and evaluation, research and documentation and when the need arises, we draw competent consultants from diverse backgrounds to compliment staff.


Our Activities

Reproductive Health and Rights Development

This area encompasses issues concerning total well being of every individual member of the society with respect to affordable, available and sustainable reproductive health services. It involves among other things such as, prevention of unwanted pregnancies/abortion, family life education and counselling, HIV/AIDS/STI prevention and control and child spacing.


Behavioural Change Communication (BCC).

Public awareness campaign, social mobilization, rural development and extension education and social welfare programs are areas of CCRHS concern in the utilization of BCC strategy. All forms of media such as radio, television, music, drama, playlet, folk tales, IEC materials and outreach campaign are being used to disseminate precise and concise reproductive health and other development information.


Policy Development

In policy development, it recognizes the significance of participation and cooperation of all stakeholders in the programs of activities of CCRHS. Hence, advocacy visits to policy makers and stakeholder are organised on continuous basis. Sensitization workshops and seminars with all the stakeholders and policy makers which properly focus issues bothering on reproductive health development in community we serve.
